Director's Statement

When I first set out to make Endless Cycle, I thought I was telling a story about uterine fibroids, but what unfolded was something deeper - a love story, set against the backdrop of illness - that explores what it means to be held through pain. As a Black woman that has lived with this condition, I know the silence that surrounds it. I also know the strength it takes to speak this condition aloud. This film is rooted in my own experience, but it's not a story about me. It's about us - the women who carry invisible burdens and the people who love us through them.

Endless Cycle is a film about the quiet power of community - about the kind of love that doesn't perform but stays. It's about marriage, legacy, and the intimate ways we protect one another when the world doesn't know what to do with our pain.

 

I made this film to break generational silences, to celebrate the beauty of being seen, and to remind us that healing doesn't happen in isolation. It happens in love, and in all the ways it shows up.
